The kind of beauty that entrances me is that which is found in simple moments, transactions, ideas, existences, and scenes. Whether it be an old outdated bus stop or a smile exchanged between cashier and shopper, I love paying attention to the little beauties all around us. When I look at my style of photography I have developed over the past few years, the film I often shoot captures thought provoking, or reducing, scenes. I also feel that the reality of shooting photos on a film camera, yields a quality over quantity mentality. I often find that when I developed one roll of film, 36 photos, I may have film from a few months period of time allowing for different feelings, memories, sensations. Another form of beauty I love is clothing, and how it allows people to express themselves, their interests, and their individuality. Although I don’t own any or wear any, high fashion has always drawn me in. I find it so cool that brands are able to create extremely luxurious and high status representing clothing, which allows people to feel special through the clothes they get to wear. I have over the past few years become more excited by blank clothing that looks good and serves its purpose. Functionality, style, simplicity, are what I now look for. Again, quality or quantity. Is this my main purpose in life?
